Firethorne: Hometown Charm Where the Milkman Still Delivers Milk to Your Door

Remember when the milkman delivered milk to your very door? At Firethorne, West Houston’s newest master-designed community, he still does! In fact, the community has arranged for a local milkman to deliver a free gallon of organic milk to each resident's door every week for the first six months the family lives there.

"It's our way of being neighborly and introducing our residents to Firethorne's hometown charm," said Firethorne General Manager Wayne Meyer. He noted that upon move-in, new residents also receive a fresh-from-the-oven homemade pie from the legendary John & Ann's Pie Shoppe of Katy.

According to Meyer, after a Firethorne homeowner moves in, all they have to do is give the milkman a call. The milkman will answer any questions about the milk and other products he has to offer (fresh dairy products, fresh meats and produce) and can explain how and when delivery is made.

Firethorne is a 1,400-acre residential development designed to carefully combine the vibrancy of West Houston with the small-town charm of Katy/Fulshear.
